On behalf of the TriWoman team at Brand New Day, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our brand-new title sponsor, MORE FM. When the team at MORE found out that title sponsorship was available they jumped at the opportunity. For our team, the choice wasn’t hard. We were looking for partners that share our philosophy in supporting women, provide leadership and are passionate about life.
The MORE FM team are a hugely tight fit for TriWoman and also are passionate about local Kiwi communities. MORE FM have 21 stations around New Zealand, so when we said to MORE that we would like to take our Triwoman experience to Masterton, the reply was “covered”. MORE FM have a radio station based in Masterton, the heartland of the Wairarapa. Likewise Wanaka, based just down the road in Alexandra, MORE FM represent heartland central Otago.
Like Triwoman, More FM really do have New Zealand covered.
Let's get one thing straight. You and me, we are in this journey together. My name is Shane Hooks and this is my job, I'm your very own, number one, hairy-legged cheerleader and chief motivator.
Your success is my success. When you sign up for our unique and very special women's only triathlons and duathlons, I'll be right there 100% of the way.
Self-doubt is not an option. You are going to do this, come summer you will be a triathlete.
You want to know what is the hardest part about a being a triathlete? The answer is deciding to become one so let's do a deal. If I say, I'm going to believe in you will you say I'm going to become a triathlete? Good, then deal done.
The finish line may be a ways away yet so let me let you in on a secret.
The journey is where the real battles are fought and won. The journey is where the real changes are made. The journey is where you find out exactly who you are. The journey is where you reclaim yourself again. The journey is where new and positive habits are formed.
Do it for you. Permission requested to be part of your journey because all I want to see is one thing, a new you crossing the finish line.
Over the next few months, I'd like to thank you in advance for allowing our team to be part of your life. It is indeed a very humbling privilege BUT hey, we don't take excuses, so you will be getting out that door, you will be sorting out that swim stroke, you will be changing your bike seat for one of those "women's" seats, you will experience jelly legs trying to run off the bike, you will be focusing on yourself first before family, friends and work.
You will be chanting this summer's number-one mantra. Can't cook, gotta train. So keep the focus on you and
I'll see you out on the road.
Shane Hooks and all the team at Brand New Day.
